The WWII Japanese "Type 98 Army Sword," officially named "Kyūhachi-shiki Guntō," was a military sword formally adopted and issued by the Imperial Japanese Army in 1938 (Showa 13).

It was specifically designed for officers, intended for close combat and everyday military duties.

This is a replica katana made according to the Type 98 katana.

The raw material is prime carbon steel, which makes it not just a prop.

The edge of the katana is customizable; you can choose an edged version for cutting, or an unedged version for display only.
